Mission

We help researchers from Southern countries by centralising climate data to simulate the impacts of climate change and build decisions at all scales on key topics like climate, agriculture, water management, biodiversity, etc.

Climate Change in Africa

In africa, warming has been more rapid than on a global scale. Rainfall extremes (heavy rains or droughts depending on the region) have been more frequant and intense since the 20th century.

Further warming will result in increases in daytime and nighttime temperatue extremes, average and maximum temperatures, and average and maximum precipitation. Negative impact on agricultural production, public health, and water resources are expected.
